Ohio State players looked bedraggled getting out of their cars and slowly walking into the Fawcett Center to watch the NCAA baseball tournament selection show on ESPN on Monday.
Eleven hours earlier, they had gotten off their charter flight from Omaha, where they had to churn through six games in 88 hours to win the Big Ten tournament for the conference’s automatic berth into the biggest show in college baseball.
But the Buckeyes had enough energy left to let out an extended roar upon finding out Monday afternoon that they are a second seed in the Louisville Regional and will be playing Horizon League champion Wright State (44-15) in a semifinal at 2 p.
