Ohio State 66, Western Carolina 38 | Lyle leads way in rout

JaQuan Lyle’s 17 points led four Ohio State players in double figures as the Buckeyes routed an overmatched Western Carolina team, 66-38, at Value City Arena.

After erupting for 21 points in last Thursday’s win against Providence, Lyle remained aggressive but got plenty of help. Jae’Sean Tate had 14 points and 11 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double, while Kam Williams had 13 points and Trevor Thompson added 10.

It was a 28-point victory, but it wasn’t a thing of beauty. The Buckeyes committed 14 turnovers, all but five of which came in the second half with the game comfortably in hand.
