After a season with no public crowds in Ohio Stadium, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is confident that stadiums across the state will be full come fall.

In a statement to the Toledo Blade, the governor's office expressed optimism that Ohio will reach a rate at which COVID-19 mitigation protocols will be below the established benchmark long before the start of football season.

"Ohio has set a benchmark that we will remove COVID mitigation protocols when we drop below high case levels," DeWine's office said in the statement.
