The No. 6 Ohio State men’s hockey team blew out No. 17 Michigan, 4-0, on Friday night in Columbus. The Buckeyes are now 3-0 versus the Wolverines this season after sweeping them in Ann Arbor in November. The Buckeyes improve to 16-5-4 on the year overall and 9-5-1 in the Big Ten, while Michigan falls to 12-11-2 and 7-8-2-1 in conference.
Anyway, this one had good results for the Buckeyes, obviously, though the results kind of mask some of the issues with the process. Whether it was because Ohio State scored in the first (probably not since they didn’t score until 16:40 into the first) or were up by three early by the early part of the third, Michigan dominated in shots on goal.
