COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Campaign season is underway in a critical College Football Playoff battleground state as Ohio State starts making its case to be included in the four-team field.
The No. 6 Buckeyes don't have the benefit of playing in a conference title game again this season to make a final pitch on the field for the selection committee, but the defending national champions are already pointing to their recent history of success and their closing statement last week with a blowout of rival Michigan to help claw back into the mix.
"Man, I hope they throw on the game tape from the game versus [Michigan]," senior linebacker Joshua Perry said after practice Wednesday.
