Nick Bosa is now the NFL’s highest-paid defensive player.
The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year agreed to a record-breaking contract extension on Wednesday with the San Francisco 49ers. The deal is worth $170 million over the next five years and includes $122.5 million in guaranteed money, per multiple reports.

The $34 million annual average in Bosa’s new contract is more than $2 million per year more than the Los Angeles Rams are paying Aaron Donald, who was previously the NFL’s highest-paid defensive player.
