As the Memphis Grizzlies open their season tonight, it’s hard to imagine them without Mike Conley running the point. Taken fourth overall in the 2007 NBA draft, Conley has become a face of the franchise in nine seasons.
But for all the love Conley feels from Memphis, it’s not home. When this NBA season ends, Conley will return to the home he is finishing in New Albany with his wife, Mary. Both are former Buckeyes, having met during Conley’s one year at Ohio State.
It was a season that not only saw Conley help lead the Buckeyes to the national championship game, but one that helped him realize where he wanted to be.
