Michigan State Quarterback Connor Cook Says His Injured Shoulder “Feels Great”; Ohio State Preparing To Face Spartans Star Regardless

College football coaches will say every hour they have throughout a week to prepare for an upcoming game is crucial, so it’s not surprising Ohio State co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Chris Ash isn’t going to waste his time dealing with hypothetical situations.

That was exactly the case Monday when Ash was asked about the Buckeyes’ opposition Saturday, Michigan State, and the status of its star quarterback Connor Cook.

“We’re not wasting a lot of time,” Ash said. “He’s going to be there, we know that. That’s not really a concern of ours.”

Cook did not play in the second half of the Spartans’ game last Saturday against Maryland after suffering an injury to his throwing shoulder.
