The sales pitch that fifth-year coach Mike Plantholt has given recruits is that only a handful of small colleges in the nation can match the history and tradition of Ohio Wesleyan men’s lacrosse.
Plantholt smirked and added a qualifier to all that glitter.
“But it’s funny because when you go into our recruiting room and look at the wall, all of those plaques and banners are from the ’80s and ’90s and early 2000s,” he said.
That will change once the athletic department places what will be a large order for trophies, plaques and banners from this season.
