Trevor Hodgins scored three goals to lead Ohio State to a 10-7 men’s lacrosse victory over Michigan on Saturday in a Big Ten game that preceded the spring football game at Ohio Stadium.
Hodgins collected his first career hat trick, and Carter Brown and Johnny Pearson each had two goals and an assist before a crowd announced at 24,581 at halftime, which grew to nearly 55,000 by the end of the game.
The Buckeyes (6-7, 1-2) trailed 3-2 after the first quarter but outscored the Wolverines 4-1 over the next two periods. Michigan (3-8, 0-2) scored 1:10 into the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 6-5, but Ohio State responded with a four-goal run to extend its advantage to 10-5.
