Men’s gymnastics | Ohio State finishes third in NCAA meet

Alex Johnson tied for first in the high bar to help Ohio State to a third-place finish in the NCAA men’s gymnastics championships at St. John Arena on Saturday night.

The Buckeyes totaled 433.050 points to finish behind defending champion Oklahoma (443.400) and Stanford (434.050). Oklahoma won its 10th national title overall and seventh since 2000.

Johnson tied with Akash Modi of Stanford in the high bar with a score of 15.2. OSU’s Sean Melton was fourth (14.950).

Seth Delbridge was second in the vault (15.350) behind Anthony McCallum of Michigan (15.550), and Alec Yoder took second in the pommel horse (15.
