Ohio State hoped it had put an embarrassingly lopsided loss at Indiana behind it when it used a big second half and JaQuan Lyle’s triple-double to pull away against Rutgers, but a trip to Maryland showed that the Buckeyes have a long way to go. Ohio State suffered its worst loss in 12 seasons under coach Thad Matta and gave up the most points in regulation, as well, in a 100-65 loss. To add to the pain, Kobi Simmons, a five-star recruit for 2016 who had been leaning toward Ohio State, committed to Arizona on Saturday.
