Ohio State will host Providence on Nov. 17 as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games, the Big Ten confirmed today.
This will be the second year for the Tipoff Games, which pit eight Big Ten teams against counterparts from the Big East.
The series is named after Dave Gavitt, founder of the Big East. The Buckeyes did not take part in last year’s games.
This is the third game for Ohio State’s 2016-17 schedule to be officially confirmed. The Buckeyes will open the season at the U.S. Naval Academy on Nov. 11 as part of the Veterans Classic and face UCLA in Las Vegas on Dec.
