After losing two straight games during which their leading scorer had been kept in check and looked outwardly frustrated on the court, the Buckeyes overcame a 10-point first-half deficit on Tuesday night and pulled away late for a 71-63 victory in front of 11,376 fans in Value City Arena.
Ohio State has won 34 straight home games against Northwestern (16-9, 4-8 Big Ten), with its last home loss taking place Feb. 24, 1977. The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Buckeyes (15-10, 7-5).
