INDIANAPOLIS -- Ohio State used a 14-0 run after halftime to overcome a sluggish start and beat Penn State 79-75 on Thursday night in the second round of the Big Ten tournament.
With the win, the seventh-seeded Buckeyes (20-12) will face No. 2 seed Michigan State at 6:30 p.m. Friday. It won’t be easy, but neither was this one in Bankers Life Fieldhouse against No. 10 seed Penn State (16-16). Ohio State trailed by 10 points during the first half and was behind 39-34 after Brandon Taylor scored over Mickey Mitchell on the first possession of the second half.
