Looking back at the last time Ohio State played Iowa State in the NCAA Tournament

Friday night, the Ohio State Buckeyes and Iowa State Cyclones meet, once again, in the NCAA Tournament. The last time that these two met was in 2013 in the “Third Round” of the NCAA tourney — also known as the Round of 32 — in Dayton, Ohio.

That Ohio State squad was very different from this season’s squad. The Buckeyes were the No. 2 seed in the West Region, and touted scorers Deshaun Thomas and LaQuinton Ross. But on that day, March 23, 2013, the Bucks had an 18-point effort from guard Aaron Craft, with his final three points being the most important of the game.
