After leading Ohio State to an 11-1 record, Big Ten East divisional championship, and a boatload of school (and conference) records in the process, Barrett was Wally Pipp'd, with his postseason successor Cardale Jones being appointed the Buckeyes' main guy.
As Jones struggled to maintain consistency, after Barrett shook off his own early season struggles, a pair of breakout performances against Maryland and Penn State reestablished J.T. as the Buckeyes' lynch pin.
Back in his rightful place, Barrett didn't exactly waste any time:
