LeBron James is probably the greatest basketball player of all time. I grew up watching Michael Jordan in his prime, so I'll listen to arguments to the contrary (as long as you don't say Wilt or something dumb like that), but the point is that he's a singular cultural force unlike the state of Ohio has ever seen in basketball. And yes, I'm fully aware of who Jerry Lucas is, as a kid I played basketball on the same neighborhood court he did decades before.
