In response to the recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and others, Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren has created the Big Ten Anti-Hate and Anti-Racism Coalition, he announced Monday in an open letter.
Warren has invited student-athletes, coaches, chancellors and university presidents and others to join the coalition and work together to fight racism and hate.
From Warren's letter:
On Monday, May 25, 2020, George Floyd, a proud Black man, was killed by a member of law enforcement in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile, Emmett Till.
