Ohio State football player Kendall Sheffield's impressive stint with the Buckeye track and field team continued on Saturday, when he finished second with a time of 6.68 seconds in the 60-meter dash at the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Purdue's Waseem Williams won the race with a time of 6.63 seconds, matching the time Sheffield ran one week earlier at the Buckeye Tune-Up to break Ohio State's school record. Ohio State's Nick Gray finished third with a time of 6.72 seconds.
Now, Sheffield – who has continued to train with the football team while participating in track – will turn his focus back to the gridiron, with spring practices set to begin in less than two weeks on March 6.
