Justin Fields has been selected as a finalist for one of the national awards honoring college football's best quarterback.
Fields was named Wednesday as one of five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which is presented annually to the best upperclassman quarterback on track to graduate with his class.
Notre Dame's Ian Book, Alabama's Mac Jones, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and Florida's Kyle Trask are the other finalists for the award.
Fields has played only five games this season while each of the other finalists have played at least eight, but his per-game statistics are as good as any quarterback in the country, as he's completed 78.
