J.T. Barrett suspended after being cited with OVI

Well, it looks like Cardale Jones is back in at starting quaterback. Early Saturday morning, news broke that newly appointed starting quarterback J.T. Barrett had been arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated at a police checkpoint, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

Barrett will be suspended for Ohio State’s next game which will be at home against Minnesota a week from today. According to the Dispatch, Barrett dodged potentially getting a two-game suspension:

Based on Ohio State’s student-athlete drug and alcohol policy, a first positive violation by an underage student is treated as a second positive if the student is underage.
