Many fans have suggested that J.T. Barrett needs to get a chance to start for the Ohio State Buckeyes, based on his performances in comparison to Cardale Jones. Urban Meyer now officially agrees.
“J.T has earned the right to start Saturday at Rutgers,” Meyer said to members of the media on Tuesday.
Urban broke the news in the weekly Big Ten coaches teleconference that takes place with members of the media. He had hinted yesterday that he was going to sit down with both J.T. and Cardale before announcing the decision.
