Jimmy Jent Leaves Ohio State Basketball to Focus on Academics

Former walk-on guard Jimmy Jent, son of assistant head coach Chris Jent, is leaving the Ohio State basketball team to focus on academics, a team spokesman confirmed to Eleven Warriors on Monday afternoon.

Jent, who played last season on scholarship due to an open roster spot, averaged .8 points in 2.5 minutes per game in 2016-17.

His father remains in his role as assistant head coach.
