Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s speed has been one of the biggest questions surrounding the former Ohio State wide receiver as an NFL prospect, and those will questions will continue to linger even after the NFL Scouting Combine.
While Smith-Njigba could have provided an answer to those questions by running the 40-yard dash on Saturday, the record-setting Buckeye pass-catcher has decided not to run the 40 in Indianapolis but will complete every other workout, he confirmed Friday.
Smith-Njigba’s decision not to run the 40 comes after he missed nearly his entire final season at Ohio State due to a hamstring injury he suffered in the Buckeyes’ season opener against Notre Dame.
