Jean-Baptiste was a late offer and late arrival into the recruiting class. Ohio State only started recruiting him in December and only offered him in early January of this year. By that point, Jean-Baptiste had already taken official visits to places like Boston College and Virginia Tech, which were each front-runners as the early signing period approached.
