Jack Mewhort Staying With Colts on One-Year Deal

Offensive lineman Jack Mewhort is the most recent Buckeye to sign a free-agent contract, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, who reported today that Mewhort would re-sign with the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year contract.

Colts are bringing back G Jack Mewhort on a one-year deal with a base value of $1.5m and another $1.5m in incentives, source says. He had interest from other teams but Indys confidence in him and his knee despite his landing on IR the last two years was huge.

Despite an injury-plagued 2017 season, when Mewhort played just five games, he has been one of the more rock-solid contributors for the Colts offensive line in recent years, including when he started all 16 games in 2015.
