It would be easy to consider the Heisman Trophy race Leonard Fournette's to lose. After all, history shows that Heisman voters put a big emphasis on players who post signature performances (e.g. Billy Cannon, Desmond Howard, Johnny Manziel), and Fournette becoming the first player in SEC history to rush for 200 or more yards in three straight games certainly qualifies as a signature stretch. That streak has been the primary factor vaulting him to the lead in the Heisman race.
As notable as that three-game accomplishment is, let's not be so quick to rule out Ohio State Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott from the race.
