Let’s face it, the odds of the top two ranked teams in the country playing each other during the regular season is highly unlikely.
It’s not a common occurrence in college football, but when the Michigan State Spartans travel to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes, there’s a real possibility that each could enter the much anticipated showdown as the true number one and two teams in the nation.
Everyone remembers the classic 42-39 duel in 2006 between Ohio State (11-0, No. 1) and rival Michigan (11-0, No. 2). Well, the Buckeye faithful could be in for some major déjà vu, only this time, it’ll instead be that “other” team from Michigan duking it out in Ohio Stadium.
