Ohio State's up-and-down transitional season officially came to an end Sunday with a second-round NIT loss to Florida, 74-66, at Value City Arena. After closing the first half strong, the Buckeyes were bulldozed to begin the second half and couldn't recover. The Gators started the second 20 minutes on a 14-2 run and then cruised the rest of the way for a victory.
Leading the way for the Gators was Dorian Finney-Smith, who scored a team-high 16 points. Kasey Hill (15 points) Kevarrius Hayes (14) and Justin Leon (12) were also in double-figures for Florida. For Ohio State, Marc Loving scored a game-high 20 points, JaQuan Lyle had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Daniel Giddens tied a career-high with 11 points.
