The association between car racing and college football is not a new thing. There have been plenty of times where NASCAR drivers have driven vehicles that had team logos from Alabama to Florida State to Louisville on them, but now the association has moved to open wheel racing.
Earlier this week, IndyCar driver and Columbus, Ohio native Graham Rahal showed off this new themed helmet he would wear during Sunday’s race in his home state:
