Legendary coach John Wooden taught his players to play fast but not in a hurry. Indiana got it right but Ohio State had it backwards in the Hoosiers 25 point victory over the Buckeyes.
Each team played an up tempo style for most of the game. Often, an Indiana player would get a good shot quickly, but if the shot wasn’t there the Hoosiers would reset the offense. They would usually get the ball in point guard Yogi Ferrell’s hands. Then a Hoosier would soon receive a pass on a cut to the basket, or a player would get an open look from the perimeter.
