The official approached Africentric girls basketball coach Will McKinney for what was supposed to be the pregame handshake, but the 6-foot-9 man in stripes playfully formed his hands into a “T" to signal technical foul before extending his right hand.

Treg Lee, who played for three seasons at Ohio State and nine professionally overseas in nine countries, might have enjoyed the gag more than McKinney did.

Lee's lighthearted demeanor continued during the game, as he whispered advice to South and Africentric players after they missed free throws or explained during dead-ball situations why they were called for fouls.
