Not too long ago, it wasn't a foregone conclusion senior defensive tackle Haskell Garrett would ever play football again.
He was injured when shot in the face a half-mile away from Ohio State's campus early on Aug. 30. Garrett told Columbus Police officers that he saw a man and a woman arguing, he told the man to stop then got shot. First responders took him to the hospital, which released him a day later.
At the time, defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs had the same idea as most people: "I would have thought season over, career over.
