In his first game this season, defensive end Chase Young of DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, didn’t have any sacks.
The five-star Ohio State commitment had a handful of tackles and several hurries, despite being double-teamed and dealing with the opposing quarterback rolling out the other direction to negate his pass rush.
That was of little consolation to Young.
“I was very, very upset,” he said. “Everybody was telling me, ‘You didn’t play badly.’ You look at film and I’m beating the tackle the whole time, but I was a half-second late getting to the quarterback.
