COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The recruiting run had to come to an end sometime.
After starting the day strong, Ohio State missed out on Ohio's top uncommitted offensive lineman for 2016. Four-star St. Ignatius offensive lineman Liam Eichenberg announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Sunday.
The Buckeyes had picked up four commitments already this weekend, but were hoping to bring another offensive lineman into the fold. Instead Eichenberg, rated the No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 7 player in Ohio according to 247Sports, chose the Fighting Irish.
Notre Dame also has a commitment from Cincinnati Elder five-star offensive tackle Tommy Kraemer, the top overall player in Ohio's Class of 2016.
