Former UAB Defensive Line Coach, Ohio State Quality Control Coach Miguel Patrick Returns to Buckeyes’ Staff

A former Ohio State assistant is back in Columbus.

As first reported by Lettermen Row, Ohio State has hired Miguel Patrick as a defensive assistant. The former quality control coach left the Buckeyes to become the defensive line coach at UAB, where he spent the past two years on Trent Dilfer's staff. Dilfer did not retain Patrick after the 2024 season.

Patrick will be a defensive quality control coach for the Buckeyes, according to his X account.

Patrick is the second coach with defensive line experience Ohio State has hired in the past 72 hours.
