The Ohio State women’s basketball community suffered a tragic loss on Tuesday.
Mark Mitchell, an assistant coach for the Buckeyes from 2013-18, died Tuesday at 56 years old. A cause of death had not been reported as of Tuesday night.

Mitchell, the father of Ohio State’s all-time leading scorer Kelsey Mitchell, was with the Buckeyes for each of Kevin McGuff’s first five seasons as head coach.
