Former Ohio State wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez has won election to the United States House of Representatives.
Gonzalez defeated Susan Palmer in Tuesday's election and will represent Ohio's 16th congressional district, which includes some communities of east Akron as well as some western suburbs of Cleveland.
This was Gonzalez' first political election.
