Former Ohio State track star Zack Bazile continued an excellent month on the track by finishing second in the long jump with a leap of 8.08 meters (26 feet, 6.25 inches) at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday.
Jeff Henderson won the event with a jump of 8.10 meters (26 feet, 7 inches). Michael Hartfield, also a former Buckeye, finished sixth in the event with a best leap of 7.96 meters (26 feet, 1.25 inches).
Bazile's silver medal at the national championships comes just 18 days after he won an NCAA championship with a career-best long jump of 8.
