To no one's surprise, Tony Alford's move to Michigan comes with a pay raise.
Alford signed a three-year contract with the Wolverines with a base salary of $850,000, up from the $772,500 he received as a base salary last year with Ohio State, per The Columbus Dispatch.
In addition to his base salary, Alford also received a $131,325 bonus from Ohio State for the team's berth in the Cotton Bowl last year.
The former nine-year coach with the Buckeyes will also be Michigan's run game coordinator in 2024. Hired by the Wolverines to replace Mike Hart, Alford’s contract was set to expire after last season and he was not among the assistants who had received announced extensions this offseason.
