There's an interesting shift that happens when an Ohio State football player graduates and moves on to the world of the NFL. Guys who once commanded reverence and respect are now beholden to the iron laws of the NFL: Thou shalt be of prototypical size, thou shalt answer dumb interview questions without laughing, thou shalt become a faceless automaton if you want to keep your practice squad spot, etc.
So J.T. Barrett, holder of a billion Ohio State and Big Ten records as a quarterback, didn't end up drafted, whereas Denzel Ward, while great, didn't have nearly the collegiate career that Barrett did and ends up drafted 4th.
