Noah Potter is staying in Ohio.
The former Ohio State defensive lineman, a Mentor, Ohio native who spent three seasons with the Buckeyes, is transferring to Cincinnati, he announced Monday.
Potter, who spent time at both defensive end and defensive tackle at Ohio State, entered the transfer portal in April in search of increased playing time. He’ll have the chance to earn that at Cincinnati, which had two defensive linemen from last season – defensive end Myjai Sanders and defensive tackle Curtis Brooks – selected in this year’s NFL draft.
He joins a program that already has several Ohio State connections, led by Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell, a former Ohio State defensive lineman and assistant coach.
