Following a number of injuries, including a torn ACL in the 2017 game against UNLV, Ohio State defensive lineman Malik Barrow announced that he would be retiring from football last October. However, on Tuesday morning, the former four-star prospect from Tampa, Fla. announced that he would be returning to the college gridiron this fall, but not as part of the Buckeye squad.
Due to his injury history, Barrow could be eligible to receive a medical hardship waiver, allowing him to have a sixth year as a college football player. If the NCAA does grant him the extra year, he will have three years of eligibility remaining, and is able to play immediately for his new school.
