Trevor Thompson will play in The Basketball Tournament on an Ohio-based team.
He just won't have any of his former Buckeye teammates alongside him.
Thompson, a 6-foot-11, 210-pound big man, was announced on Thursday afternoon as the last addition to the Red Scare, a Dayton alumni team. His group also includes Trey Landers, the brother of former Buckeyes defensive tackle Robert Landers.
Thompson could meet Big X – which includes Andrew Dakich, CJ Jackson, Keyshawn Woods and Jae'Sean Tate – in the second round. The Red Scare has a first-round bye, but Big X has to win its opening game to set up the matchup.
