Ezekiel Elliott named 85th AAU Sullivan Award winner

Ezekiel Elliott has trampled defenses. His playoff performances against Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon set records. He doesn’t just have abs of steel — the steel curtain that is EZE cuts through defensive lines like a laser dicing up a fine gem.

On the football field, Elliott’s sophomore season in which he ran for 1,874 yards, cemented his place among college football’s best rushers.

Now, he’s being recognized as the most outstanding amateur athlete in the United States.

On Sunday, he was named the 85th winner of the Sullivan Award, known as the “Oscar” of sports awards.

Older than The Heisman, the AAU Sullivan Award honors the outstanding amateur athlete in the United States.
