Ohio State is expected to promote Jake Diebler to head coach.
Despite the Buckeyes’ loss to Illinois in Friday’s Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals, a source told Eleven Warriors that Ohio State is planning to promote Diebler to head coach, confirming reports by The Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman and Adam Jardy of The Columbus Dispatch.
Per Goodman, Ohio State is currently negotiating contract details with Diebler to make him its new head coach.
The two sides are in negotiations, source told @TheFieldOf68, and an agreement is expected where Jake Diebler will have the interim tag lifted at Ohio State.
