CHICAGO — Michael Thomas is headed to the Big Easy.
Ohio State's star wide receiver was taken 47th overall by the New Orleans Saints Friday in the 2016 NFL Draft. Thomas joins Devin Smith as the second Buckeye receiver in as many years to come off the board in the first two rounds. The New York Jets picked Smith 37th overall in 2015.
Thomas led the Buckeyes in receptions each of the last two seasons. His 781 yards and nine scores were tops in 2015, as he used his outstanding frame and long arms to haul in a wide range of passes from both Cardale Jones and J.
