COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Urban Meyer has again moved quickly to complete his coaching staff after losing his defensive coordinator to a head-coaching job. And the Ohio State coach is again tabbing a veteran assistant with NFL experience.
The Buckeyes plan to promote former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Bill Davis from his current role as an analyst for the program once the season ends, sliding him into the vacancy created by Luke Fickell's impending departure to take over Cincinnati.
The exact role for Davis, who wasn't a full-time coach this season following his three-year run with the Eagles, has not been determined yet.
