In what was ultimately a losing effort for the Los Angeles Lakers, D'Angelo Russell turned in what may have been one of his best overall single-game performances in the NBA thus far, as well as his most prolific scoring outing. The former Ohio State star finished the game with 23 points (a career-high) on 20 shots (a career-high), and this beautiful, driving, last-second, game-tying layup to force overtime, that Kobe couldn't get enough of.

Although the Lakers eventually fell to the Minnesota Grizzlies in overtime (123-122), it was a nice coming out party of sorts for the rookie as a scorer, on a night where Kobe Bryant was only able to go for 11 points of his own.
